Twenty foot-candles (fc) is the recommended light level for ordinary painting. It's almost impossible to repaint at night using house lighting which only makes a few fc. It's too easy to miss transparent spots. The 11-way light is an all around light that will illuminate the walls and ceilings of a room without much effort and without having to aim. It's a good temporary light for dry walling as well.

A Great Painting work light

This compact, portable light with a small foot print broadcasts light in all directions to achieve even shadow free illumination. It can be:

  • Carried as a lantern and set on the floor, countertop, or furniture.

  • Hung over a door knob (or a nail that's put on the top edge of a door) with the aircraft cable handle/bail.

  • Suspended from a ceiling vent or hung off a refrigerator or steel door using the 85# Pull Magnet.

  • Hung on a closet rod, or shower / window curtain rod using the folding hook.

  • Tied to a wire shelf using the Hook & Loop Straps.

  • Attached to a wall through switch plate cover

  • Mounted to the ceiling if you have an open electrical box (normally during new construction)

  • Added to an existing light fixture using the magnet or by hooking a ceiling fan or swag light chain.

  • Strapped to the top or side of a step ladder

  • Hung from a ladder rung (Perhaps making it the only "ladder light" known to man).

Painting on a ladder? Save time, money and floor space by taking the the light with you and leaving the tripod light in the store. The 11-way work light will strap or hook to a ladder.

In addition to the other methods covered to raise the light up, the 11-way light can be strapped to the top of a step ladder as shown.



Dry walling light

After the ceiling is sheet rocked, the 11-way light can mounted to ceiling electrical box using two supplied 8-32 thumb screws. Similarly, the light can be mounted on wall mounted device boxes.
